ABOUT ME

I have been fascinated by and involved in music from a young age and trained in a number of instruments. Of these instruments, singing was where I found most joy and satisfaction and, as a teenager, I began to use it in a variety of professional contexts, performing as both a contemporary and a light classical singer. In particular, I pursued a career as a musical theatre actress for a number of years. A little later, I noticed my desire to share my passion for singing by teaching others about how to use their voices.

My ever-growing enthusiasm and curiosity about the voice led me to pursue a great deal of specialist training, including a Master of Arts in the Practice of Voice and Singing at GSA (the Guildford School of Acting), a Level 1 and 2 qualification in Steven Luke Walker’s LCS (Laryngeal Conditioning System), as well as a lot of my own research into the physiology and pedagogy of the voice.

I have been teaching singing and voice at GSA for the last three years and I offer separate private tuition around my schedule there. I am the female vocalist for popular Surrey function band Mammoth Grooves and occasionally I still take to the musical theatre stage! There is a link to the Mammoth Grooves website below where you can listen to recordings if you would like to hear me in action.
